- One who is on the path of life follows instruction,
But one who ignores a rebuke goes astray. - Before destruction the heart of a person is haughty,
But humility goes before honor. - One who goes about as a slanderer reveals secrets,
But one who is trustworthy conceals a matter. - So will My word be which goes out of My mouth;
It will not return to Me empty,
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the purpose for which I sent it. - And the Lord is the One who is going ahead of you; He will be with you. He will not desert you or abandon you. Do not fear and do not be dismayed.
- And He said to them, “Are you so lacking in understanding as well? Do you not understand that whatever goes into the person from outside cannot defile him, because it does not go into his heart, but into his stomach, and is eliminated?” (Thereby He declared all foods clean.)
- It goes well for a person who is gracious and lends;
He will maintain his cause in judgment. - Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or in dread of them, for the Lord your God is the One who is going with you. He will not desert you or abandon you.
- The fear of the Lord is the instruction for wisdom,
And before honor comes humility. - Not to us, Lord, not to us,
But to Your name give glory,
Because of Your mercy, because of Your truth. - Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prospers.
- A prudent person sees evil and hides himself;
But the naive proceed, and pay the penalty. - When the Helper comes, whom I will send to you from the Father, namely, the Spirit of truth who comes from the Father, He will testify about Me.
- Everyone who competes in the games exercises self-control in all things. So they do it to obtain a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.
- Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified nor dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
- In that I am commanding you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to keep His commandments, His statutes, and His judgments, so that you may live and become numerous, and that the Lord your God may bless you in the land where you are entering to take possession of it.
A prudent person sees evil and hides himself;
But the naive proceed, and pay the penalty.
