Bible Verses about 'Good faith'
This Good News tells us how God makes us right in his sight. This is accomplished from start to finish by faith. As the Scriptures say, “It is through faith that a righteous person has life.” | For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written: “But the righteous one will live by faith.” |
So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. | In the same way, faith also, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself. |
So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ. | So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ. |
For we live by believing and not by seeing. | For we walk by faith, not by sight. |
Fight the good fight for the true faith. Hold tightly to the eternal life to which God has called you, which you have declared so well before many witnesses. | Fight the good fight of faith; take hold of the eternal life to which you were called, and for which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses. |
I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices his life for the sheep. | I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. |
Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith. | So then, while we have opportunity, let’s do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith. |
For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. | Knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. |
Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong. | Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. |
Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. | Now faith is the certainty of things hoped for, a proof of things not seen. |
Accept other believers who are weak in faith, and don’t argue with them about what they think is right or wrong. | Now accept the one who is weak in faith, but not to have quarrels over opinions. |
And if you do good only to those who do good to you, why should you get credit? Even sinners do that much! | And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. |
Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love. | But now faith, hope, and love remain, these three; but the greatest of these is love. |
For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith. | For whoever has been born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith. |
Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. | Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. |
For when we place our faith in Christ Jesus, there is no benefit in being circumcised or being uncircumcised. What is important is faith expressing itself in love. | For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything, but faith working through love. |
Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it. | Turn from evil and do good; Seek peace and pursue it. |
Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good. | Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. |
A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. What you say flows from what is in your heart. | The good person out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil person out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart. |
And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road. | And Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he regained his sight and began following Him on the road. |
“You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.” | And He said to them, “Because of your meager faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” |
But you, Timothy, are a man of God; so run from all these evil things. Pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. | But flee from these things, you man of God, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness. |
Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.” | Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.” |
Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith. | Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you—unless indeed you fail the test? |
Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good? | And who is there to harm you if you prove zealous for what is good? |
