- A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
- For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

- And He said, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a man.”
- As iron sharpens iron,
So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend. - Do not be deceived: “Evil company corrupts good habits.”
- A man has joy by the answer of his mouth,
And a word spoken in due season, how good it is! - And the Lord said to Satan, “Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.” So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.
- Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
- If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.

- A perverse man sows strife,
And a whisperer separates the best of friends. - And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good?
- Happy is the man who finds wisdom,
And the man who gains understanding. - Trust in the Lord, and do good;
Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. - Let each of us please his neighbor for his good, leading to edification.
- There is a way that seems right to a man,
But its end is the way of death. - Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.
- Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;
Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! - Who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
- Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.
- Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good!
For His mercy endures forever. - Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, to which you were also called and have confessed the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
- If a person sins, and commits any of these things which are forbidden to be done by the commandments of the Lord, though he does not know it, yet he is guilty and shall bear his iniquity.

And obtains favor from the Lord. - How beautiful upon the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,
Who says to Zion,
“Your God reigns!” - Two are better than one,
Because they have a good reward for their labor. - The young lions lack and suffer hunger;
But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. - A man’s pride will bring him low,
But the humble in spirit will retain honor. - For
“He who would love life
And see good days,
Let him refrain his tongue from evil,
And his lips from speaking deceit.
Let him turn away from evil and do good;
Let him seek peace and pursue it.” - For You, Lord, are good, and ready to forgive,
And abundant in mercy to all those who call upon You. - Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in the power of your hand to do so. - Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.
- And the Lord God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
