- For by a single offering he has perfected for all time those who are sanctified.

and my feet did not slip. - Happy is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people whom he has chosen as his heritage. - This Jesus is
‘the stone that was rejected by you, the builders;
it has become the cornerstone.’ - You may say to yourself, “How can we recognize a word that the Lord has not spoken?” If a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord but the thing does not take place or prove true, it is a word that the Lord has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously; do not be frightened by it.
- And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding so that we may know him who is true; and we are in him who is true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
- No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us.
- The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim release to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free. - Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law.
- And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.
- While God has overlooked the times of human ignorance, now he commands all people everywhere to repent.
- Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.
- And we are witnesses to these things, and so is the Holy Spirit whom God has given to those who obey him.
- The spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
because the Lord has anointed me;
he has sent me to bring good news to the oppressed,
to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and release to the prisoners. - For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
- And saying, “The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the good news.”
- All things came into being through him, and without him not one thing came into being. What has come into being.
- But the one who did not know and did what deserved a beating will receive a light beating. From everyone to whom much has been given, much will be required; and from the one to whom much has been entrusted, even more will be demanded.
- Jesus said to him, “Go; your faith has made you well.” Immediately he regained his sight and followed him on the way.
- When you make a vow to God, do not delay fulfilling it; for he has no pleasure in fools. Fulfill what you vow.
