Bible Verses about 'Hate'

  • All who fear the Lord will hate evil.
    Therefore, I hate pride and arrogance,
    corruption and perverse speech.
  • If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first.
  • You who love the Lord, hate evil!
    He protects the lives of his godly people
    and rescues them from the power of the wicked.
  • To learn, you must love discipline;
    it is stupid to hate correction.
  • What blessings await you when people hate you and exclude you and mock you and curse you as evil because you follow the Son of Man.
  • But to you who are willing to listen, I say, love your enemies! Do good to those who hate you. Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.
  • No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.
  • Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.
  • Do not nurse hatred in your heart for any of your relatives. Confront people directly so you will not be held guilty for their sin. Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against a fellow Israelite, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.
  • If someone says, “I love God,” but hates a fellow believer, that person is a liar; for if we don’t love people we can see, how can we love God, whom we cannot see?
  • But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!
  • For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.
  • He loves whatever is just and good;
    the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.
  • And I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven. Whatever you forbid on earth will be forbidden in heaven, and whatever you permit on earth will be permitted in heaven.
  • So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
  • Not that I was ever in need, for I have learned how to be content with whatever I have.
  • Getting wisdom is the wisest thing you can do!
    And whatever else you do, develop good judgment.
  • And whatever you do or say, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through him to God the Father.
  • Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have.
  • Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.
  • You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.
  • Whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered behind closed doors will be shouted from the housetops for all to hear!
  • “All right, you may test him,” the Lord said to Satan. “Do whatever you want with everything he possesses, but don’t harm him physically.” So Satan left the Lord’s presence.
  • Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.
  • Dear friends, if we don’t feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence. And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him.

Of all the marine animals, you may eat whatever has both fins and scales. You may not, however, eat marine animals that do not have both fins and scales. They are ceremonially unclean for you.

O God, you are my God;
I earnestly search for you.
My soul thirsts for you;
my whole body longs for you
in this parched and weary land
where there is no water.
