- The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit:
a broken and a contrite heart,
O God, thou wilt not despise. - Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart,
all ye that hope in the Lord. - The tongue of the just is as choice silver:
the heart of the wicked is little worth. - The wise in heart will receive commandments:
but a prating fool shall fall. - Before destruction the heart of man is haughty,
and before honour is humility. - The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately wicked: who can know it?
I the Lord search the heart,
I try the reins,
even to give every man according to his ways,
and according to the fruit of his doings. - For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
- Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.
- Let the words of my mouth,
and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight,
O Lord, my strength, and my redeemer. - Go thy way, eat thy bread with joy, and drink thy wine with a merry heart; for God now accepteth thy works.
- The statutes of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart:
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes. - Though an host should encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear:
though war should rise against me,
in this will I be confident. - Therefore also now, saith the Lord,
turn ye even to me with all your heart,
and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning. - And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
- But if from thence thou shalt seek the Lord thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.
- Grant thee according to thine own heart,
and fulfil all thy counsel. - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
- Every way of a man is right in his own eyes:
but the Lord pondereth the hearts. - So teach us to number our days,
that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. - Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God.
- Only fear the Lord, and serve him in truth with all your heart: for consider how great things he hath done for you.
- My son, attend to my words;
incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes;
keep them in the midst of thine heart. - Search me, O God, and know my heart:
try me, and know my thoughts:
And see if there be any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. - Thou shalt also consider in thine heart, that, as a man chasteneth his son, so the Lord thy God chasteneth thee.
- My son, forget not my law;
but let thine heart keep my commandments:
For length of days, and long life,
and peace, shall they add to thee.
Deceit is in the heart of them that imagine evil:
but to the counsellors of peace is joy.For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.Next verse!With image
