| Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. | Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. | Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. | Shun youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. |
| I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. | Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and if you do not doubt in your heart, but believe that what you say will come to pass, it will be done for you. |
| So remember this and keep it firmly in mind: The Lord is God both in heaven and on earth, and there is no other. | So acknowledge today and take to heart that the Lord is God in heaven above and on the earth beneath; there is no other. |
| May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed. | May he grant you your heart's desire, and fulfill all your plans. |

| You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail. | The human mind may devise many plans, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will be established. |
