- Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
- For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts. - The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed and bring me safely into his heavenly kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
- Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.
- For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.
- If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!
- Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
- Whom have I in heaven but you?
And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you. - Ah, Lord God! It is you who have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm! Nothing is too hard for you.
- And behold, a voice from heaven said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased.”
- From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.”
- The heavens declare the glory of God,
and the sky above proclaims his handiwork.
Day to day pours out speech,
and night to night reveals knowledge. - But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.
- Now when all the people were baptized, and when Jesus also had been baptized and was praying, the heavens were opened, and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form, like a dove; and a voice came from heaven, “You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased.”
- Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. - When your eyes light on it, it is gone,
for suddenly it sprouts wings,
flying like an eagle toward heaven. - Therefore whoever relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches others to do the same will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever does them and teaches them will be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
- For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.
- So then the Lord Jesus, after he had spoken to them, was taken up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God.
- Who builds his upper chambers in the heavens
and founds his vault upon the earth;
who calls for the waters of the sea
and pours them out upon the surface of the earth—
the Lord is his name. - I lift up my eyes to the hills.
From where does my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
- And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.
- Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.
