- For the Lord your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him.
- Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
- While he was still speaking, suddenly a bright cloud overshadowed them, and from the cloud a voice said, “This is my Son, the Beloved; with him I am well pleased; listen to him!”

he knows what is in the darkness,
and light dwells with him. - And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of him.

he who begets a wise son will be glad in him. - Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen me? Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have come to believe.”
- When God raised up his servant, he sent him first to you, to bless you by turning each of you from your wicked ways.
- Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for him;
do not fret over those who prosper in their way,
over those who carry out evil devices. - Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
- God's love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him.
- Those who believe in him are not condemned; but those who do not believe are condemned already, because they have not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
- But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.
- And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
- See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death; then they will hand him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified; and on the third day he will be raised.
- But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.
- No one has ever seen God. It is God the only Son, who is close to the Father's heart, who has made him known.
- The commandment we have from him is this: those who love God must love their brothers and sisters also.
- If we say that we have fellowship with him while we are walking in darkness, we lie and do not do what is true.
- But those who drink of the water that I will give them will never be thirsty. The water that I will give will become in them a spring of water gushing up to eternal life.
- For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.
- He was despised and rejected by others;
a man of suffering and acquainted with infirmity;
and as one from whom others hide their faces
he was despised, and we held him of no account. - Because if you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
- Jesus then said, “I will be with you a little while longer, and then I am going to him who sent me.”
