for my hope is in him. - But from there you will search again for the Lord your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him.

- This is the message we heard from Jesus and now declare to you: God is light, and there is no darkness in him at all.

- He is the one all the prophets testified about, saying that everyone who believes in him will have their sins forgiven through his name.
- And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.
- As the Scriptures tell us, “Anyone who trusts in him will never be disgraced.”
- Yes, God will bless us,
and people all over the world will fear him. - I say to myself, “The Lord is my inheritance;
therefore, I will hope in him!” - In this way, God qualified him as a perfect High Priest, and he became the source of eternal salvation for all those who obey him.
- But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him.
- Joyful are those who obey his laws
and search for him with all their hearts. - And now, dear children, remain in fellowship with Christ so that when he returns, you will be full of courage and not shrink back from him in shame.
- Dear friends, if we don’t feel guilty, we can come to God with bold confidence. And we will receive from him whatever we ask because we obey him and do the things that please him.
- Taste and see that the Lord is good.
Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him! - Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.”
- For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.
- Then the Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper who is just right for him.”
- The Lord is my strength and shield.
I trust him with all my heart.
He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.
I burst out in songs of thanksgiving. - So obey the commands of the Lord your God by walking in his ways and fearing him.
- Every word of God proves true.
He is a shield to all who come to him for protection. - And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us.
- But the Lord watches over those who fear him,
those who rely on his unfailing love. - Dear friends, we are already God’s children, but he has not yet shown us what we will be like when Christ appears. But we do know that we will be like him, for we will see him as he really is. And all who have this eager expectation will keep themselves pure, just as he is pure.
- The Lord is good,
a strong refuge when trouble comes.
He is close to those who trust in him. - For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
- The Lord is like a father to his children,
tender and compassionate to those who fear him. - Anyone who eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in him.
- Therefore, God elevated him to the place of highest honor
and gave him the name above all other names,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth. - Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
- And Jesus said to him, “Go, for your faith has healed you.” Instantly the man could see, and he followed Jesus down the road.
- I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death.
- For you have been given not only the privilege of trusting in Christ but also the privilege of suffering for him.
- God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.
- And while they were there, the time came for her baby to be born. She gave birth to her firstborn son. She wrapped him snugly in strips of cloth and laid him in a manger, because there was no lodging available for them.
