My cry before him came into his ears. - Sing to God! Sing praises to his name!
Extol him who rides on the clouds:
to Yah, his name!
Rejoice before him!
A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows,
is God in his holy habitation. - But Yahweh’s loving kindness is from everlasting to everlasting with those who fear him,
his righteousness to children’s children,
to those who keep his covenant,
to those who remember to obey his precepts. - The rich man’s wealth is his strong city,
like an unscalable wall in his own imagination. - For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life.
- Or can one walk on hot coals,
and his feet not be scorched? - As he came out of his mother’s womb, naked shall he go again as he came, and shall take nothing for his labor, which he may carry away in his hand.
- Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
- Praise Yahweh, my soul!
All that is within me, praise his holy name! - He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds.
- Blessed is everyone who fears Yahweh,
who walks in his ways. - For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever will lose his life for my sake will save it.
