A God of faithfulness who does no wrong,
just and right is he. - But Yahweh’s loving kindness is from everlasting to everlasting with those who fear him,
his righteousness to children’s children,
to those who keep his covenant,
to those who remember to obey his precepts. - Sing to God! Sing praises to his name!
Extol him who rides on the clouds:
to Yah, his name!
Rejoice before him!
A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows,
is God in his holy habitation. - Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
- Behold, his soul is puffed up. It is not upright in him, but the righteous will live by his faith.
- For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life.
- Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
- He who seeks his life will lose it; and he who loses his life for my sake will find it.
- Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, to be building him up.
- He who turns away his ear from hearing the law,
even his prayer is an abomination. - Or can one walk on hot coals,
and his feet not be scorched? - Praise Yahweh, my soul!
All that is within me, praise his holy name! - He himself bore our sins in his body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live to righteousness. You were healed by his wounds.
- Blessed is everyone who fears Yahweh,
who walks in his ways. - The rich man’s wealth is his strong city,
like an unscalable wall in his own imagination.
