- Whoever finds his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
- In my anguish I cried out to the Lord

From his temple he heard my voice,
and my cry to him reached his ears. - He is a rock, his deeds are perfect,

He is a God of truth who does no wrong;

but a foolish son gives grief to his mother. - I wait for the Lord in anxious expectation;
I place my hope in his word. - Finally, find your strength in the Lord and in his mighty power.
- Bless the Lord, O my soul;
my entire being, bless his holy name. - Or can a man walk on red-hot coals
without scorching his feet? - For if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more certain it is that, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
- He himself bore our sins in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live in righteousness. By his wounds you have been healed.
- For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.
- Blessed are all those who fear the Lord

and seek him with their whole heart. - Each of us must consider his neighbor’s good for the purpose of building him up.
- The eyes of the Lord are on the righteous,
and his ears are open to their cry.
