So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of… Hebrews 4:9-10

So there is a special rest still waiting for the people of God. For all who have entered into God’s rest have rested from their labors, just as God did after creating the world. Hebrews 4:9-10	There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His. sabbath rest work

I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. The Son radiates God’s own glory and expresses the very character of God, and he sustains everything by the mighty power of his command. When he had cleansed us from our sins, he sat down in the place of honor at the right hand of the majestic God in heaven. We all come to the end of our lives as naked and empty-handed as on the day we were born. We can’t take our riches with us. Ecclesiastes 5:15	As he came from his mother’s womb, naked shall he return, To go as he came; And he shall take nothing from his labor Which he may carry away in his hand. greed materialism heaven
So obey the commands of the Lord your God by walking in his ways and fearing him. Deuteronomy 8:6	Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the Lord your God, to walk in His ways and to fear Him. obedience law awe
And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19	And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. trust Jesus blessing

So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son. Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and glorify and honor the King of heaven. All his acts are just and true, and he is able to humble the proud. He guards the paths of the just and protects those who are faithful to him. Proverbs 2:8	He guards the paths of justice, And preserves the way of His saints. righteousness protection obedience
If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake, you will save it. Matthew 16:25	For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. salvation death life

God will do this, for he is faithful to do what he says, and he has invited you into partnership with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. 1 Corinthians 1:9	God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord. Jesus calling reliability
Don’t envy violent people or copy their ways. Such wicked people are detestable to the Lord, but he offers his friendship to the godly. Proverbs 3:31-32	Do not envy the oppressor, And choose none of his ways; For the perverse person is an abomination to the Lord, But His secret counsel is with the upright. trust righteousness planning
The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil. 1 Peter 3:12	For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, And His ears are open to their prayers; But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil. righteousness prayer listening
They stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him. They wove thorn branches into a crown and put it on his head, and they placed a reed stick in his right hand as a scepter. With their words, the godless destroy their friends, but knowledge will rescue the righteous. Proverbs 11:9	The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor, But through knowledge the righteous will be delivered. righteousness speaking wisdom
So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband. Ephesians 5:33	Nevertheless let each one of you in particular so love his own wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. marriage relationships
