- I am coming soon. Hold fast what you have, so that no one may seize your crown.
- But test everything; hold fast what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.
- Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful.
- For I, the Lord your God,
hold your right hand;
it is I who say to you, “Fear not,
I am the one who helps you.” - Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
- For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.
- Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called and about which you made the good confession in the presence of many witnesses.
- You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain.
- All day long he craves and craves,
but the righteous gives and does not hold back. - You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him.
- Hear my prayer, O Lord,
and give ear to my cry;
hold not your peace at my tears!
For I am a sojourner with you,
a guest, like all my fathers. - Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.
- The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.
- Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.
- Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
- Only be very careful to observe the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments and to cling to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- Go, gather all the Jews to be found in Susa, and hold a fast on my behalf, and do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my young women will also fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish.
- When I thought, “My foot slips,”
your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. - A fool gives full vent to his spirit,
but a wise man quietly holds it back. - Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment.
- Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
- But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.
- When words are many, transgression is not lacking,
but whoever restrains his lips is prudent. - Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent, children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast to the word of life.
- The Lord is good,
a stronghold in the day of trouble;
he knows those who take refuge in him.
He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.Next verse!With image
