- Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
- Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil.
- Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;)
- For I the Lord thy God
will hold thy right hand,
saying unto thee, Fear not;
I will help thee. - For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end.
- The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
- Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
- Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain: for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
- Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
- Hear my prayer, O Lord,
and give ear unto my cry;
hold not thy peace at my tears:
for I am a stranger with thee,
and a sojourner, as all my fathers were. - The Lord is good,
a strong hold in the day of trouble;
and he knoweth them that trust in him. - Ye shall walk after the Lord your God, and fear him, and keep his commandments, and obey his voice, and ye shall serve him, and cleave unto him.
- He coveteth greedily all the day long:
but the righteous giveth and spareth not. - Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.
- Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
- But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.
- When I said, My foot slippeth;
thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. - A fool uttereth all his mind:
but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards. - The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished.
- Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
- In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin:
but he that refraineth his lips is wise. - Do all things without murmurings and disputings: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world; Holding forth the word of life.
- Even a fool, when he holdeth his peace, is counted wise:
and he that shutteth his lips is esteemed a man of understanding. - Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord:
let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me.
For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.He only is my rock and my salvation:
he is my defence; I shall not be moved. And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.Next verse!With image
