- May mercy, peace, and love be multiplied to you.
- See, we are going up to Jerusalem. And the Son of Man will be delivered over to the chief priests and scribes, and they will condemn him to death and deliver him over to the Gentiles to be mocked and flogged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third day.
- And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.
- The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. - The fear of the Lord is hatred of evil.
Pride and arrogance and the way of evil
and perverted speech I hate. - For the fruit of light is found in all that is good and right and true.
- If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.
- I sought the Lord, and he answered me
and delivered me from all my fears. - And taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and said a blessing over them. Then he broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd. And they all ate and were satisfied. And what was left over was picked up, twelve baskets of broken pieces.
- And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love for one another and for all, as we do for you.
- Then you will understand righteousness and justice
and equity, every good path. - Give justice to the weak and the fatherless;
maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. - You shall serve the Lord your God, and he will bless your bread and your water, and I will take sickness away from among you.
- Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil—this is the gift of God.
- Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and after blessing it broke it and gave it to the disciples, and said, “Take, eat; this is my body.”
- The earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof,
the world and those who dwell therein. - I came from the Father and have come into the world, and now I am leaving the world and going to the Father.
- And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.
- And walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us, a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
- You desire and do not have, so you murder. You covet and cannot obtain, so you fight and quarrel. You do not have, because you do not ask.
- For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.
- So the church throughout all Judea and Galilee and Samaria had peace and was being built up. And walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit, it multiplied.
- He was despised and rejected by men,
a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief;
and as one from whom men hide their faces
he was despised, and we esteemed him not. - The prudent sees danger and hides himself,
but the simple go on and suffer for it. - Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty, for all that is in the heavens and in the earth is yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Lord, and you are exalted as head above all.
