- Then after fasting and praying they laid their hands on them and sent them off.

those who walk in pride. - But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.

Pride and arrogance and the way of evil
and perverted speech I hate. - Search me, O God, and know my heart;
test me and know my thoughts.
See if there is any wicked way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. - I reprove and discipline those whom I love. Be earnest, therefore, and repent.
- I will put my spirit within you, and make you follow my statutes and be careful to observe my ordinances.
- Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
- You are indeed my rock and my fortress;
for your name's sake lead me and guide me. - For the fruit of the light is found in all that is good and right and true.
- I sought the Lord, and he answered me,
and delivered me from all my fears. - Give justice to the weak and the orphan;
maintain the right of the lowly and the destitute. - He answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbor as yourself.”
- Then you will understand righteousness and justice
and equity, every good path.
