- Be still and acknowledge that I am God,
exalted among the nations,
exalted on the earth. - For I, the Lord, am your God
and I grasp your right hand.
It is I who say to you,
Do not fear; I will help you. - I, I alone, am the one who comforts you.
Why then do you fear mortal men who must die,
human beings who must perish like grass? - The one who gives this testimony says, “Yes, I am coming soon.”
Amen. Come, Lord Jesus! - And a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”

I, the Lord, am the first,
and I will be there with the last. - I am coming soon. Hold fast to what you already have so that no one may rob you of your crown.

For I am merciful, says the Lord;
my wrath will not continue forever. - I came from the Father
and have come into the world.
Now I am leaving the world
and returning to the Father. - He who called you is holy. Therefore, be holy yourselves in all your conduct. For Scripture says, “Be holy, for I am holy.”
- Father, allow those you have given me
to be with me where I am,
so that they may behold my glory,
which you have bestowed on me
because you loved me
before the foundation of the world. - I am confident that I will behold the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - I then heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me!”
- For I am not ashamed of the gospel, since it is the power of God that offers salvation to everyone who has faith—to Jews first, and then to Gentiles as well.
- I was eager to respond
to those who did not consult me.
I was anxious to be approached
by those who did not seek me.
I said, “Here I am! Here I am!”
to a nation that did not summon me. - I baptize you with water for repentance, but the one who is coming after me is more powerful than I am. I am not worthy to carry his sandals. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.
- Hear my prayer, O Lord;
do not be deaf to my cry
or ignore my weeping.
For I am a wayfarer before you,
a nomad like all my ancestors. - Amen, amen, I say to you,
the one who believes in me
will also do the works that I do,
and indeed will do even greater ones than these,
because I am going to the Father. - Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.
- I am not asking you
to take them out of the world,
but I do ask you
to protect them from the evil one.
