- And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins.
- Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
- For thou wilt light my candle:
the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness. - Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
- Turn ye unto me, saith the Lord of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the Lord of hosts.
- By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
- Ye that love the Lord, hate evil:
he preserveth the souls of his saints;
he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked. - Nevertheless let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself; and the wife see that she reverence her husband.
- Great peace have they which love thy law:
and nothing shall offend them. - And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also.
- And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
- For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.
- I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
- Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all.
- Save now, I beseech thee, O Lord:
O Lord, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the Lord:
we have blessed you out of the house of the Lord. - Thou art all fair, my love;
there is no spot in thee. - Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
- Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord:
let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. - My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
- He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good;
and what doth the Lord require of thee,
but to do justly, and to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with thy God? - For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
- Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another.
- With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love.
- And now, Israel, what doth the Lord thy God require of thee, but to fear the Lord thy God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, To keep the commandments of the Lord, and his statutes, which I command thee this day for thy good?
- He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
