- Know therefore that the Lord your God is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments.
- Our God is in heaven;
he does whatever pleases him. - If you fully obey the Lord your God and carefully follow all his commands I give you today, the Lord your God will set you high above all the nations on earth.
- But I gave them this command: Obey me, and I will be your God and you will be my people. Walk in obedience to all I command you, that it may go well with you.

From his temple he heard my voice;
my cry came before him, into his ears. - It is written: ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bow before me;
every tongue will acknowledge God.’ - These are the things God has revealed to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God.
- I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
- And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?
- To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

you refined us like silver. - And because the midwives feared God, he gave them families of their own.

From now on, you do know him and have seen him. Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes.
