- I thank thee, and praise thee, O thou God of my fathers,
who hast given me wisdom and might,
and hast made known unto me now what we desired of thee:
for thou hast now made known unto us the king's matter. - We are bound to thank God always for you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth.
- And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.
- But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- The Lord is my strength and my shield;
my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:
therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth;
and with my song will I praise him. - Being enriched in every thing to all bountifulness, which causeth through us thanksgiving to God.
- I will praise thee with uprightness of heart,
when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments. - I will praise thee, O Lord, among the people:
and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations. - My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God:
when shall I come and appear before God? - In God I will praise his word,
in God I have put my trust;
I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. - And in that day shall ye say,
Praise the Lord, call upon his name,
declare his doings among the people,
make mention that his name is exalted. - Therefore I will look unto the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation:
my God will hear me. - Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
- Preserve me, O God:
for in thee do I put my trust. - He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
- I will sing unto the Lord as long as I live:
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being. - And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.
- For who is God save the Lord?
or who is a rock save our God? - For thou hast possessed my reins:
thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvellous are thy works;
and that my soul knoweth right well. - For who is God, save the Lord?
and who is a rock, save our God? - For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
- Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
- Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
- I will extol thee, my God, O king;
and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. - Yet I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
