- If you would seriously consider my reproof,
I would pour out my thoughts to you
and make my precepts known to you. - You did not choose me.
Rather, I chose you.
And I appointed you
to go out and bear fruit,
fruit that will remain,
so that the Father may give you
whatever you ask him in my name. - You will not add to what I command you, nor will you take away from it, so that you might observe the commandments of the Lord, your God, that I am giving you.
- But to those of you who are listening to me, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
- Jesus replied, “Did I not tell you that if you have faith you will see the glory of God?”
- I will give you a new heart and place a new spirit within you. I will remove from your body a heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh in its place.
- So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.
- You shall be holy, for I, the Lord, am holy. I have chosen you from among all people that you shall be mine.
- “Peace be with you,” Jesus said to them again.
“As the Father has sent me,
so I send you.” - Whom do I have in heaven except you?
And besides you there is nothing else I desire on earth. - What I commanded them was this: Listen to my voice, and I will be your God, and you will be my people. If you follow all the ways that I command you, then you will prosper.
- The Lord is with you while you are with him. If you seek him, he will permit you to find him, but if you abandon him, he will abandon you.
- When you call out to me and come forth and pray to me, I will listen to you.
- O Lord, you have examined me
and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I stand;
you perceive my thoughts from a distance. - When you pass through the waters,
I will be with you;
nor will the waters engulf you.
When you walk through fire,
you will not be burned;
the flames will not consume you. - And I will ask the Father,
and he will give you another Advocate
to be with you forever. - I have told you these things
so that my joy may be in you
and your joy may be complete. - I did not hesitate to tell you what was for your benefit as I proclaimed the word to you and taught you publicly as well as from house to house.
- I will put my Spirit in you and make you follow my statutes and my ordinances.
- Protect me, O God,
for in you I take refuge. - Come to me, all you who are weary and overburdened, and I will give you rest.
- I have instructed you in the ways of wisdom
and led you along the paths of righteousness. - Because in my eyes you are precious,
because you are honored and I love you,
I will give people in exchange for you
and nations in return for your life. - This is my commandment:
love one another
as I have loved you. - I treasure your word in my heart
for fear that I may sin against you.
