- But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

- Blessed are the pure in heart:
for they shall see God. - Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
- Except the Lord build the house,
they labour in vain that build it:
except the Lord keep the city,
the watchman waketh but in vain. - But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: That thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
- Can any hide himself in secret places that I shall not see him? saith the Lord. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord.
- Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.
- For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
- I called upon the Lord in distress:
the Lord answered me, and set me in a large place. - The Lord is slow to anger, and great in power,
and will not at all acquit the wicked:
the Lord hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm,
and the clouds are the dust of his feet. - Good and upright is the Lord:
therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
The meek will he guide in judgment:
and the meek will he teach his way. - But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
- And daily in the temple, and in every house, they ceased not to teach and preach Jesus Christ.
- Create in me a clean heart, O God;
and renew a right spirit within me. - And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
- I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.
