| For I cried out to him for help, praising him as I spoke. | I cried to him with my mouth, and high praise was on my tongue. |
| But while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him. | So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church. |
| Serve only the Lord your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him. | You shall walk after the Lord your God and fear him and keep his commandments and obey his voice, and you shall serve him and hold fast to him. |
| If you had really known me, you would know who my Father is. From now on, you do know him and have seen him! | If you had known me, you would have known my Father also. From now on you do know him and have seen him. |

| Look! He comes with the clouds of heaven. And everyone will see him— even those who pierced him. And all the nations of the world will mourn for him. Yes! | I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead. I want to suffer with him, sharing in his death. | That I may know him and the power of his resurrection, and may share his sufferings, becoming like him in his death. |
| Those who obey God’s commandments remain in fellowship with him, and he with them. And we know he lives in us because the Spirit he gave us lives in us. | Whoever keeps his commandments abides in God, and God in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit whom he has given us. |

| Since he did not spare even his own Son but gave him up for us all, won’t he also give us everything else? | He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? |
| But be very careful to obey all the commands and the instructions that Moses gave to you. Love the Lord your God, walk in all his ways, obey his commands, hold firmly to him, and serve him with all your heart and all your soul. | Only be very careful to observe the commandment and the law that Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways and to keep his commandments and to cling to him and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul. |
| Every word of God proves true. He is a shield to all who come to him for protection. | Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. |
