- The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge:
but fools despise wisdom and instruction. - The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom;
and before honour is humility. - A fool despiseth his father's instruction:
but he that regardeth reproof is prudent. - He is in the way of life that keepeth instruction:
but he that refuseth reproof erreth. - And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.
- Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge:
but he that hateth reproof is brutish. - He that handleth a matter wisely shall find good:
and whoso trusteth in the Lord, happy is he. - All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
- And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.
- For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
- Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.
- Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
- He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law,
even his prayer shall be abomination. - My son, keep thy father's commandment,
and forsake not the law of thy mother. - This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
- But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul.
- And keep the charge of the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself.
- Blessed are the undefiled in the way,
who walk in the law of the Lord. - Great peace have they which love thy law:
and nothing shall offend them. - I delight to do thy will, O my God:
yea, thy law is within my heart. - The law of the Lord is perfect,
converting the soul:
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple. - And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; Because that Abraham obeyed my voice, and kept my charge, my commandments, my statutes, and my laws.
- My son, attend to my words;
incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes;
keep them in the midst of thine heart. - Thou shalt keep therefore his statutes, and his commandments, which I command thee this day, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, and that thou mayest prolong thy days upon the earth, which the Lord thy God giveth thee, for ever.
Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way?
by taking heed thereto according to thy word.Next verse!With image
