- And eternal life is this:
to know you,
the only true God,
and the one you have sent,
Jesus Christ. - Jesus replied,
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father
except through me.” - For the wages of sin is death, but the gift freely given by God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
- Do you not know that all of us who have been baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into his death?
- Jesus replied, “If you wish to be perfect, go, sell your possessions, and give the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”
- Therefore, now that we have been justified by faith, we are at peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Rather, put on the Lord Jesus Christ and allow no opportunity for the flesh to gratify its sinful desires.
- Jesus looked at them and said, “For men this is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”
- Jesus replied,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
no one can see the kingdom of God
without being born from above.” - But our citizenship is in heaven, and from there we await our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.
- But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were far off have been brought near through the blood of Christ.
- When Jesus had taken the wine, he said, “It is finished.” Then he bowed his head and gave up his spirit.
- To him who in all things is able
through the power
that is at work within us
to accomplish abundantly far more
than all we can ask or imagine,
to him be glory in the Church
and in Christ Jesus
through all generations,
forever and ever. Amen. - Do not worry about anything, but present your needs to God in prayer and petition, with thanksgiving. Then the peace of God, which is beyond all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
- She will give birth to a son, and you shall name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.
- Therefore, let us leave behind the basic teaching about Christ and advance toward maturity. We must not be forever laying the foundation: repentance for actions that lead to death, faith in God, instruction about baptisms and the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
- God is faithful, and it is by him that you have been called into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
- Peter answered, “Repent, and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
- Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you will name him Jesus.”
- Jesus looked at them and said, “For men it is impossible, but not for God. For God all things are possible.”
- And every day, both in the temple and at home, they never stopped teaching and proclaiming Jesus as the Christ.
- Jesus said,
“Amen, amen, I say to you,
no one can enter the kingdom of God
unless he is born of water and the Spirit.” - The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
- All of these were constantly engaged in prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
- Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they cast lots to divide his garments.
