Jesus (3/4)

  • All of these were constantly engaged in prayer, together with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
  • Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they cast lots to divide his garments.
  • It was for this purpose that he called you through our gospel so that you might come to share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  • On the last and greatest day of the feast, Jesus stood up and cried out,
    “If anyone is thirsty,
let him come to me and drink.”
  • For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for a life of good works that God had prepared for us to do.
  • Then Jesus said to him,
    “You have come to believe
    because you have seen me.
Blessed are those who have not seen
and yet have come to believe.”
  • When Jesus heard this, he said, “It is not the healthy who need a physician, but rather those who are sick.”
  • And whatever you do in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
  • For I know that through your prayers and with the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will result in deliverance for me.
  • Rather, grow in the grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
To him be glory both now and for all eternity. Amen.
  • I am confident of this: that the one who began a good work in you will bring it to completion on the day of Christ Jesus.
  • But Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them. For it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs.”
  • May the God of perseverance and encouragement grant that you may live in harmony with one another, following in the example of Jesus Christ.
  • If you confess with your lips, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
  • Since in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor lack of circumcision is worth anything. All that matters is faith expressing itself through love.
  • Jesus answered them,
“I am the bread of life.
Whoever comes to me will never be hungry,
and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty.”
  • Rejoice always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God for you in Christ Jesus.
  • There is no longer Jew or Greek, there is no longer slave or free man, there is no longer male or female. For all of you are one in Christ Jesus.
  • I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation to know him.
  • If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, then the one who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwells in you.
  • Jesus answered him,
“Whoever loves me will keep my word,
and my Father will love him,
and we will come to him
and make our abode with him.”
  • Blessed be the God,
and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who has blessed us in Christ
with every spiritual blessing in the heavens.
  • Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.”
  • Hence, as sin’s reign resulted in death, so the grace of God also might reign through righteousness resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
  • Through faith you are all children of God in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves in Christ.

May I never boast of anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world is crucified to me and I to the world.

Bible verse of the day

For all have sinned and thereby are deprived of the glory of God, and all are justified by the gift of his grace that is given freely through the redemption in Christ Jesus.
