- Therefore, as to the eating of food offered to idols, we know that “an idol has no real existence,” and that “there is no God but one.”

maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. - Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
for his steadfast love endures forever! - Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
- For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh.
- For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world and forfeit his soul?
- And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
- May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
- Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.
- The precepts of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart;
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes. - For we have come to share in Christ, if indeed we hold our original confidence firm to the end.
