Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.Do not lag in zeal, be ardent in spirit, serve the Lord.
Keep his decrees and commands, which I am giving you today, so that it may go well with you and your children after you and that you may live long in the land the Lord your God gives you for all time.Keep his statutes and his commandments, which I am commanding you today for your own well-being and that of your descendants after you, so that you may long remain in the land that the Lord your God is giving you for all time.
Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong.Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong.
For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.If you obey the commandments of the Lord your God that I am commanding you today, by loving the Lord your God, walking in his ways, and observing his commandments, decrees, and ordinances, then you shall live and become numerous, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land that you are entering to possess.

How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word.How can young people keep their way pure? By guarding it according to your word.
If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep all his decrees, I will not bring on you any of the diseases I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals you.If you will listen carefully to the voice of the Lord your God, and do what is right in his sight, and give heed to his commandments and keep all his statutes, I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians; for I am the Lord who heals you.
The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.The clever see danger and hide; but the simple go on, and suffer for it.
If you follow my decrees and are careful to obey my commands, I will send you rain in its season, and the ground will yield its crops and the trees their fruit.If you follow my statutes and keep my commandments and observe them faithfully, I will give you your rains in their season, and the land shall yield its produce, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.
We all stumble in many ways. Anyone who is never at fault in what they say is perfect, able to keep their whole body in check.For all of us make many mistakes. Anyone who makes no mistakes in speaking is perfect, able to keep the whole body in check with a bridle.
Keep on loving one another as brothers and sisters. Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for by doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it.
Do not withhold your mercy from me, Lord; may your love and faithfulness always protect me.Do not, O Lord, withhold your mercy from me; let your steadfast love and your faithfulness keep me safe forever.
And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.When you are praying, do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard because of their many words.
Remember that you were slaves in Egypt and that the Lord your God brought you out of there with a mighty hand and an outstretched arm. Sin is not ended by multiplying words, but the prudent hold their tongues.When words are many, transgression is not lacking, but the prudent are restrained in speech.

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.Rejoice in hope, be patient in suffering, persevere in prayer.
I urge you, brothers and sisters, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them.I urge you, brothers and sisters, to keep an eye on those who cause dissensions and offenses, in opposition to the teaching that you have learned; avoid them.
Those who consider themselves religious and yet do not keep a tight rein on their tongues deceive themselves, and their religion is worthless.If any think they are religious, and do not bridle their tongues but deceive their hearts, their religion is worthless.
But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die.But if the wicked turn away from all their sins that they have committed and keep all my statutes and do what is lawful and right, they shall surely live; they shall not die.
If this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment.Then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trial, and to keep the unrighteous under punishment until the day of judgment.
So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be awake and sober.So then let us not fall asleep as others do, but let us keep awake and be sober.
It is to one’s honor to avoid strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.It is honorable to refrain from strife, but every fool is quick to quarrel.
I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.I pray that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation as you come to know him.
Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me—put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.Keep on doing the things that you have learned and received and heard and seen in me, and the God of peace will be with you.

Direct my footsteps according to your word; let no sin rule over me.Keep my steps steady according to your promise, and never let iniquity have dominion over me.
