- As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
- One who despairs should have the support of his friends
even if he has forsaken the fear of the Almighty. - Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness
will find life and honor too. - A man’s attraction is his kindness;
it is far better to be poor than to be a liar. - In contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things.
- Let your face shine upon your servant;
save me in your kindness. - O Lord, let your kindness rest upon us,
for we have placed our hope in you. - For your kindness extends to the heavens;
your faithfulness, to the skies. - When I realized that my foot was slipping,
your kindness, O Lord, raised me up. - The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in kindness. - The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is filled with his kindness. - O Lord, you are kind and forgiving,
filled with kindness for all who cry to you. - Let your kindness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.
- And so does kindness, O Lord.
You reward each person
in accordance with his deeds. - Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render fair judgments, and show kindness and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow, the orphan, the alien, or the poor. Do not plot evil in your heart against one another.
- Rend your hearts and not your garments,
and turn back to the Lord, your God.
For he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, rich in kindness,
and always prepared to relent from punishing. - But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those who trust in his kindness. - Be mindful, O Lord, that mercy and kindness
have been yours from of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth
or my many transgressions,
but remember me in your kindness,
for the sake of your goodness, O Lord. - Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
but to your name give glory
because of your kindness and faithfulness. - O Lord, do not withhold your mercy from me;
may your kindness and your truth keep me safe forever. - During the day the Lord grants his kindness,
and at night his praise is with me,
a prayer to the living God. - The Lord will fulfill his plan for me.
Your kindness, O Lord, endures forever;
do not forsake the work of your hands. - Only goodness and kindness will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever and ever. - In view of all this, you should make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with piety, and piety with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love.
- Do not withhold kindness from anyone to whom it is due
when it is in your power to grant it.
As for me, I trust in your kindness;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord
because he has been good to me.May the Lord, our God, be with us, just as he was with our fathers; may he not leave us or abandon us. Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from anything that can defile flesh or spirit, and thereby make our holiness perfect in the fear of God.Next verse!With image
