Bible Verses about 'Kindness'
- As God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, put on compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
- One who despairs should have the support of his friends
even if he has forsaken the fear of the Almighty. - A man’s attraction is his kindness;
it is far better to be poor than to be a liar. - In contrast, the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things.
- Whoever pursues righteousness and kindness
will find life and honor too. - Let your face shine upon your servant;
save me in your kindness. - Thus says the Lord of hosts: Render fair judgments, and show kindness and compassion to one another. Do not oppress the widow, the orphan, the alien, or the poor. Do not plot evil in your heart against one another.
- O Lord, let your kindness rest upon us,
for we have placed our hope in you. - For your kindness extends to the heavens;
your faithfulness, to the skies. - When I realized that my foot was slipping,
your kindness, O Lord, raised me up. - The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger and abounding in kindness. - The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is filled with his kindness. - O Lord, you are kind and forgiving,
filled with kindness for all who cry to you. - Let your kindness be known to everyone. The Lord is near.
- And so does kindness, O Lord.
You reward each person
in accordance with his deeds. - Rend your hearts and not your garments,
and turn back to the Lord, your God.
For he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, rich in kindness,
and always prepared to relent from punishing. - But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him,
on those who trust in his kindness. - In view of all this, you should make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with endurance, and endurance with piety, and piety with mutual affection, and mutual affection with love.
- Do not let kindness and fidelity leave you;
fasten them around your neck
and inscribe them on the tablet of your heart.
Then you will gain favor and a good name
in the sight of God and man. - Be mindful, O Lord, that mercy and kindness
have been yours from of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth
or my many transgressions,
but remember me in your kindness,
for the sake of your goodness, O Lord. - Not to us, O Lord, not to us,
but to your name give glory
because of your kindness and faithfulness. - O Lord, do not withhold your mercy from me;
may your kindness and your truth keep me safe forever. - The Lord has told you, O man, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
Only this: to do what is right, to show mercy,
and to walk humbly with your God. - During the day the Lord grants his kindness,
and at night his praise is with me,
a prayer to the living God. - The Lord will fulfill his plan for me.
Your kindness, O Lord, endures forever;
do not forsake the work of your hands. - Only goodness and kindness will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord
forever and ever. - Do not withhold kindness from anyone to whom it is due
when it is in your power to grant it. - As for me, I trust in your kindness;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord
because he has been good to me. - At dawn let me experience your kindness,
for in you I place my trust.
Show me the path I must walk,
for to you I lift up my soul. - The lips of the righteous utter words of kindness,
but the mouth of the wicked knows only how to pervert. - But I will sing of your strength;
when morning dawns, I will proclaim your kindness.
For you have been my fortress,
my refuge in times of trouble. - Your kindness is a greater joy than life itself;
thus my lips will speak your praise.
I will bless you all my life;
with uplifted hands I will call on your name. - Although the mountains may be shaken
and the hills may totter,
my steadfast love will not depart from you,
and my covenant of peace will never be shaken,
says the Lord who has compassion on you. - The Lord is righteous in all his ways
and merciful in everything he does. - Have mercy on me, O God,
in accord with your kindness;
in your abundant compassion
wipe away my offenses.
Wash me completely from my guilt,
and cleanse me from my sin. - But from everlasting to everlasting
the kindness of the Lord is with those who fear him,
and his righteousness with their children’s children,
with those who keep his covenant
and diligently observe his commandments. - In Christ
and through his blood
we have redemption
and the forgiveness of our sins.
In accord with the riches of his grace. - May the favor of the Lord, our God, rest upon us.
And may the work of our hands prosper—
indeed, may the work of our hands prosper. - Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his mercy endures forever. - After you have suffered for a brief period, the God of all grace, who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ, will himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and support you.
- What god can compare with you,
the God who takes away guilt
and forgives the transgressions
of the remnant of your people?
You will not allow your anger to fester forever,
for your delight is in bestowing mercy. - Keep in mind, therefore, that the Lord, your God, is God. He is a faithful God who keeps his covenant of mercy to the thousandth generation toward those who love him and observe his commandments.
