- Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering.
- The desire of a man is his kindness:
and a poor man is better than a liar. - To him that is afflicted pity should be shewed from his friend;
but he forsaketh the fear of the Almighty. - But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
- And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge; And to knowledge temperance; and to temperance patience; and to patience godliness; And to godliness brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness charity.
- He that followeth after righteousness and mercy
findeth life, righteousness, and honour. - And rend your heart,
and not your garments,
and turn unto the Lord your God:
for he is gracious and merciful,
slow to anger, and of great kindness,
and repenteth him of the evil. - For the mountains shall depart,
and the hills be removed;
but my kindness shall not depart from thee,
neither shall the covenant of my peace be removed,
saith the Lord that hath mercy on thee. - Thus speaketh the Lord of hosts, saying, Execute true judgment, and shew mercy and compassions every man to his brother: And oppress not the widow, nor the fatherless, the stranger, nor the poor; and let none of you imagine evil against his brother in your heart.
- He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good;
and what doth the Lord require of thee,
but to do justly, and to love mercy,
and to walk humbly with thy God? - Make thy face to shine upon thy servant:
save me for thy mercies' sake. - Let thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us,
according as we hope in thee. - The Lord is righteous in all his ways,
and holy in all his works. - When I said, My foot slippeth;
thy mercy, O Lord, held me up. - The Lord is merciful and gracious,
slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy. - For thy mercy is great unto the heavens,
and thy truth unto the clouds. - He loveth righteousness and judgment:
the earth is full of the goodness of the Lord. - Also unto thee, O Lord, belongeth mercy:
for thou renderest to every man
according to his work. - Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon them that fear him,
upon them that hope in his mercy. - For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive;
and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee. - Let not mercy and truth forsake thee:
bind them about thy neck;
write them upon the table of thine heart:
So shalt thou find favour and good understanding
in the sight of God and man. - Remember, O Lord, thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses;
for they have been ever of old.
Remember not the sins of my youth,
nor my transgressions:
according to thy mercy remember thou me
for thy goodness' sake, O Lord. - Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us,
but unto thy name give glory,
for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake. - Withhold not thou thy tender mercies from me, O Lord:
let thy lovingkindness and thy truth continually preserve me. - Yet the Lord will command his lovingkindness in the day time,
and in the night his song shall be with me,
and my prayer unto the God of my life.
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.Next verse!With image
