Chinese (traditional)- Jesus looked at them and said, “For men this is impossible, but for God all things are possible.”
- You are the salt of the earth. But if salt loses its taste, what can be done to make it salty once again? It is no longer good for anything, and thus it is cast out and trampled underfoot.
- For sin is no longer to have any power over you, since you are not under the Law but under grace.
- Remain sober and alert, for your enemy the devil is on the prowl like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.
- Jesus looked at them and said, “For men it is impossible, but not for God. For God all things are possible.”
- Grant justice to the weak and the orphan;
defend the rights of the lowly and the poor. - For the Son of Man has come to seek out and to save what was lost.
- Beloved,
let us love one another,
because love is from God.
Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. - This is the commandment
we have received from him:
whoever loves God
must also love his brother. - I give you a new commandment:
love one another.
Just as I have loved you,
so you should also love one another. - Whoever gains wisdom loves his own soul;
one who cherishes understanding will prosper. - Jesus then said,
“I will remain with you
only for a short time longer,
and then I shall return
to him who sent me.” - This is the Lord’s message to Zerubbabel: Not by force, nor by strength, but by my Spirit, says the Lord of hosts.
- The wealthy man lords it over the poor,
and the borrower becomes the slave of the lender. - The way of God is blameless;
the Lord’s promise has proved true.
He is a shield to all
who take refuge in him. - If we live, we live for the Lord, and if we die, we die for the Lord. Therefore, whether we live or die, we are the Lord’s.
- I have made a covenant with my eyes
not to look with desire upon a virgin. - The way of God is blameless,
and the Lord’s promise proves true;
he is a shield to all
who flee to him for safety. - My mouth is filled with your praises
as I relate your glory all day long. - Let your eyes look straight ahead;
fix your gaze on what lies before you. - However, each one of you should love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife should respect her husband.
- Taking the five loaves and the two fish, he looked up to heaven and blessed and broke them and gave them to the disciples to distribute among the people. They all ate and were satisfied. Then they gathered up what was left over—twelve baskets of fragments.
- Owe nothing to anyone except the debt of love you owe one another. The one who loves others has fulfilled the Law.
- He said to them, “Do not be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He has been raised. He is not here. See the place where they laid him.”
- And opens the eyes of those who cannot see.
The Lord lifts up those who are bowed down;
the Lord loves the righteous.
But as for me, I will look to the Lord.
I place my hope in God my savior;
my God will hear me.And just as no human being comprehends any person’s innermost being except the person’s own spirit within him, so also no one comprehends what pertains to God except the Spirit of God. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity but rather a spirit of power and of love and of wisdom.Next verse!With image
