- Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there! - But let justice roll down like waters,
and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. - If your brother sins against you, go and tell him his fault, between you and him alone. If he listens to you, you have gained your brother.
- In you, O Lord, do I take refuge;
let me never be put to shame;
in your righteousness deliver me! - Keep steady my steps according to your promise,
and let no iniquity get dominion over me. - Jesus said to him, “If you would be perfect, go, sell what you possess and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me.”
- But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings. You shall go out leaping like calves from the stall.
- Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.
- Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.
- Therefore let us leave the elementary doctrine of Christ and go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God, and of instruction about washings, the laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment.
- Let all that you do be done in love.
- If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.
- Be exalted, O God, above the heavens!
Let your glory be over all the earth! - Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously;
let this be made known in all the earth. - And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful.
- Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth.
- Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father; but go to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’”
- You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.
- Whoever is wise, let him understand these things;
whoever is discerning, let him know them;
for the ways of the Lord are right,
and the upright walk in them,
but transgressors stumble in them. - But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
- Be strong, and let your heart take courage,
all you who wait for the Lord! - Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good.
- Do not forsake your friend and your father's friend,
and do not go to your brother's house in the day of your calamity.
Better is a neighbor who is near
than a brother who is far away. - In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you?
- For “Whoever desires to love life
and see good days,
let him keep his tongue from evil
and his lips from speaking deceit;
let him turn away from evil and do good;
let him seek peace and pursue it.”
