- With my whole heart I seek you;
do not let me stray from your commandments. - Let your eyes look directly forward,
and your gaze be straight before you. - Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
and let your glory be over all the earth. - Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord! - Let the wicked forsake their way,
and the unrighteous their thoughts;
let them return to the Lord, that he may have mercy on them,
and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. - But let justice roll down like waters,
and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. - Let your word be ‘Yes, Yes’ or ‘No, No’; anything more than this comes from the evil one.
- Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously;
let this be known in all the earth. - Teach me to do your will,
for you are my God.
Let your good spirit lead me
on a level path. - Keep my steps steady according to your promise,
and never let iniquity have dominion over me. - You must understand this, my beloved: let everyone be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger.
- In you, O Lord, I seek refuge;
do not let me ever be put to shame;
in your righteousness deliver me. - Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us.
- Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful.
- Beloved, let us love one another, because love is from God; everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
- So let us not grow weary in doing what is right, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.
- Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger, and do not make room for the devil.
- Do not, O Lord, withhold
your mercy from me;
let your steadfast love and your faithfulness
keep me safe forever. - Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
be acceptable to you,
O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. - Let no one despise your youth, but set the believers an example in speech and conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
- Let us therefore make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one may fall through such disobedience as theirs.
- And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in the one body. And be thankful.
- Let the favor of the Lord our God be upon us,
and prosper for us the work of our hands—
O prosper the work of our hands! - Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord.
Lord, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive
to the voice of my supplications! - So then, whenever we have an opportunity, let us work for the good of all, and especially for those of the family of faith.
