- Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
- Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

- He revealeth the deep and secret things:
he knoweth what is in the darkness,
and the light dwelleth with him. - Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.

but thy right hand, and thine arm,
and the light of thy countenance, because thou hadst a favour unto them. - For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
