- My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When shall I come and appear before God? - I am still confident of this:
I will see the goodness of Yahweh in the land of the living. - He who believes in me, as the Scripture has said, from within him will flow rivers of living water.

a prayer to the God of my life. - Follow after peace with all men, and the sanctification without which no man will see the Lord.
- But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you.
- I know how to be humbled, and I also know how to abound. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need.
- What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? May it never be! We who died to sin, how could we live in it any longer?

when I learn your righteous judgments. - Examine your own selves, whether you are in the faith. Test your own selves. Or don’t you know about your own selves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.
- These you may eat of all that are in the waters: you may eat whatever has fins and scales. You shall not eat whatever doesn’t have fins and scales. It is unclean to you.
- But let justice roll on like rivers,
and righteousness like a mighty stream. - Riches don’t profit in the day of wrath,
but righteousness delivers from death. - Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God.
- If we live by the Spirit, let’s also walk by the Spirit.
- You will show me the path of life.
In your presence is fullness of joy.
In your right hand there are pleasures forever more. - If we say that we have fellowship with him and walk in the darkness, we lie and don’t tell the truth.
- Yahweh’s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart.
Yahweh’s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes. - He was there with Yahweh forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread, nor drank water. He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the ten commandments.
- Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by his good conduct that his deeds are done in gentleness of wisdom.
- Observe the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, as Yahweh your God commanded you. You shall labor six days, and do all your work; but the seventh day is a Sabbath to Yahweh your God, in which you shall not do any work— neither you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your ox, nor your donkey, nor any of your livestock, nor your stranger who is within your gates; that your male servant and your female servant may rest as well as you.
- But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son, cleanses us from all sin.
- All chastening seems for the present to be not joyous but grievous; yet afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
- Flee from youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
