- My soul thirsts for God, the living God.
When shall I come to behold the face of God? - I am confident that I will behold the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living. - Whoever believes in me,
as Scripture has said,
‘Streams of living water
shall flow from within him.’ - Just as the living Father sent me
and I have life because of the Father,
so whoever feeds upon me will live because of me. - “But you,” he said to them, “who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter replied, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”
- Take care, brethren, that none of you will ever have an evil and unbelieving heart that will cause you to forsake the living God.
- How can a young man lead a spotless life?
By living according to your word. - Therefore, brethren, I implore you by the mercies of God to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice that is holy and acceptable to God—a spiritual act of worship.
- I am the living bread that came down from heaven.
Whoever eats this bread will live forever;
and the bread that I will give
is my flesh, for the life of the world. - You have been born anew, not of perishable but of imperishable seed, through the living and enduring word of God.
- How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, purify our conscience from acts that lead to death so that we may worship the living God.

- Indeed, the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any two-edged sword, it pierces to the point where it divides soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and the intentions of the heart.
- During the day the Lord grants his kindness,
and at night his praise is with me,
a prayer to the living God. - For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

nor will the sun or any scorching heat cause them discomfort.

will be their shepherd.

- You shall observe the Sabbath by keeping it holy, as the Lord, your God, has commanded you. You are to labor on six days, doing all of your work then. The seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord, your God. You shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your manservant, nor your maidservant, nor your ox, nor your ass, nor your cattle, nor even the foreigner living in your town. Thus your manservant and maidservant can rest as well.
- Seek peace with everyone, as well as the holiness without which no one will ever see the Lord.
- If the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, then the one who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwells in you.
