- Therefore say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “None of My words will be postponed any more, but the word which I speak will be done,” says the Lord God.’
- Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show by good conduct that his works are done in the meekness of wisdom.
- Oh, give thanks to the Lord!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples! - Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.
- Bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do.
- Then God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it, because in it He rested from all His work which God had created and made.
- The Lord is slow to anger and great in power,
And will not at all acquit the wicked.
The Lord has His way
In the whirlwind and in the storm,
And the clouds are the dust of His feet. - And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret.
- Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.
Praise the Lord! - He has shown you, O man, what is good;
And what does the Lord require of you
But to do justly,
To love mercy,
And to walk humbly with your God? - If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath,
From doing your pleasure on My holy day,
And call the Sabbath a delight,
The holy day of the Lord honorable,
And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways,
Nor finding your own pleasure,
Nor speaking your own words,
Then you shall delight yourself in the Lord;
And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth,
And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father.
The mouth of the Lord has spoken. - And in that day you will say:
“Praise the Lord, call upon His name;
Declare His deeds among the peoples,
Make mention that His name is exalted.” - So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: “Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel,” which is translated, “God with us.”
- He answered and said to them, “He who has two tunics, let him give to him who has none; and he who has food, let him do likewise.”
- Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.
- But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will Himself reward you openly.
- For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
- And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.
- He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.
- No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.
- Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
The people He has chosen as His own inheritance. - For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.
- But as it is written:
“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” - For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves of sin.
