- Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously;
let this be made known in all the earth. - Only fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart. For consider what great things he has done for you.
- This is the day that the Lord has made;
let us rejoice and be glad in it. - Let all that you do be done in love.
- Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. - Who has performed and done this,
calling the generations from the beginning?
I, the Lord, the first,
and with the last; I am he. - For the word of the Lord is upright,
and all his work is done in faithfulness. - He has made everything beautiful in its time. Also, he has put eternity into man's heart, yet so that he cannot find out what God has done from the beginning to the end.
- Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done.
- If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
- For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,
‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles,
that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’ - If anyone sins, doing any of the things that by the Lord's commandments ought not to be done, though he did not know it, then realizes his guilt, he shall bear his iniquity.
- We have sinned and done wrong and acted wickedly and rebelled, turning aside from your commandments and rules.
- For you have need of endurance, so that when you have done the will of God you may receive what is promised.
- And Jesus answered them, “Truly, I say to you, if you have faith and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ it will happen.”
- Pray then like this:
“Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.” - As a father shows compassion to his children,
so the Lord shows compassion to those who fear him. - Bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
- The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,
because the Lord has anointed me
to bring good news to the poor;
he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
to proclaim liberty to the captives,
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound. - O Lord, you are my God;
I will exalt you; I will praise your name,
for you have done wonderful things,
plans formed of old, faithful and sure. - Then Job arose and tore his robe and shaved his head and fell on the ground and worshiped. And he said, “Naked I came from my mother's womb, and naked shall I return. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
- Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work. It is a Sabbath to the Lord in all your dwelling places.
- His master said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a little; I will set you over much. Enter into the joy of your master.’
- Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
- Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
And if you say in your heart, ‘How may we know the word that the Lord has not spoken?’— when a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the Lord has not spoken; the prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You need not be afraid of him.But even if you should suffer for righteousness' sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled.
