- The law of the Lord is perfect,
converting the soul:
the testimony of the Lord is sure,
making wise the simple. - The statutes of the Lord are right,
rejoicing the heart:
the commandment of the Lord is pure,
enlightening the eyes. - The Lord will perfect that which concerneth me:
thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever:
forsake not the works of thine own hands. - For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.
- Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits,
even the God of our salvation. Selah. - The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
the Lord is the strength of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid? - The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.
- One thing have I desired of the Lord,
that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to enquire in his temple. - But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
- This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
- Seek the Lord, and his strength:
seek his face evermore.
But the Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil.He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty;
