- Wives, submit yourselves to your husbands, as is fitting in the Lord. Husbands, love your wives and do not be harsh with them.
- For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.
- Finally, all of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.
- Let your face shine on your servant;
save me in your unfailing love. - Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
- May your unfailing love be with us, Lord,
even as we put our hope in you. - I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.
- When I said, “My foot is slipping,”
your unfailing love, Lord, supported me. - Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?
- Let those who love the Lord hate evil,
for he guards the lives of his faithful ones
and delivers them from the hand of the wicked. - If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.
- But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.
- And now, Israel, what does the Lord your God ask of you but to fear the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, to love him, to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, and to observe the Lord’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good?
- If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.
- The Lord is compassionate and gracious,
slow to anger, abounding in love. - I love the Lord, for he heard my voice;
he heard my cry for mercy.
Because he turned his ear to me,
I will call on him as long as I live. - Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
his love endures forever. - You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.
- For I command you today to love the Lord your God, to walk in obedience to him, and to keep his commands, decrees and laws; then you will live and increase, and the Lord your God will bless you in the land you are entering to possess.
- Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
- Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.
- You, Lord, are forgiving and good,
abounding in love to all who call to you. - My soul thirsts for God, for the living God.
When can I go and meet with God? - The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of his unfailing love. - Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.
Jesus called out with a loud voice, “Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.” When he had said this, he breathed his last. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.Next verse!With image
