| “They shall be mine,” says Yahweh of Armies, “my own possession in the day that I make. | A man’s heart plans his course, but Yahweh directs his steps. | In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. |
| A fool shows his annoyance the same day, but one who overlooks an insult is prudent. | Fools show their annoyance at once, but the prudent overlook an insult. |
