- As for me, I trust in your kindness;
my heart rejoices in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord
because he has been good to me. - In God, whose word I praise,
in God I place my trust and know no fear;
what can people do to me? - Do not make gods from silver or from gold instead of me. You will not make them for yourselves.
- Yet even now, says the Lord,
return to me with all your heart,
with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning. - If you know me,
then you will know my Father also.
From now on you do know him.
You have seen him. - Deliver me, O Lord, from lying lips
and from deceitful tongues. - Therefore, we can say with confidence:
“The Lord is my helper;
I will not be afraid.
What can anyone do to me?” - Jesus then said,
“I will remain with you
only for a short time longer,
and then I shall return
to him who sent me.” - Jesus replied,
“I am the way, and the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father
except through me.” - But he answered me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” Hence, I will boast most gladly of my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may dwell within me.
- I am the gate.
Anyone who enters through me
will be saved.
He will go in and out
and will find pasture. - The depths of the sea resound
in the roar of your waterfalls;
all your waves and your breakers
sweep over me. - Behold, I am coming soon, and I will bring with me my reward to repay everyone as his deeds deserve.
- Whoever believes in me,
as Scripture has said,
‘Streams of living water
shall flow from within him.’ - Call to me and I will answer you and reveal to you great and mysterious secrets about which you are unaware.
- If you abide in me
and my words abide in you,
you may ask for whatever you wish,
and it will be done for you. - During the day the Lord grants his kindness,
and at night his praise is with me,
a prayer to the living God. - May I never boast of anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world is crucified to me and I to the world.
- In peace I lie down and sleep,
for only with your help, O Lord,
can I rest secure. - When I fed them, they were satisfied;
when they were satisfied, they became proud of heart
and quickly forgot me. - The Lord will fulfill his plan for me.
Your kindness, O Lord, endures forever;
do not forsake the work of your hands. - I then heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? Who will go for us?” I said, “Here I am. Send me!”
- The Lord God is my strength;
he makes my feet as swift as those of a deer
and enables me to tread on the heights. - Abba, Father, for you all things are possible. Take this cup from me. Yet not my will but yours be done.
- I will place my rainbow in the clouds and it will be a sign of the covenant between me and the earth.
