‘I, the Lord, am the first, and with the last. I am He.’ - Protect me, God, for I take refuge in You.

What can mere mortals do to me? - But as for me, I will be on the watch for the Lord;

My God will hear me. - The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit;

Jealousy is as severe as Sheol;
Its flames are flames of fire,
The flame of the Lord. - For to us God revealed them through the Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God.

He does whatever He pleases. - Yet I have been the Lord your God
Since the land of Egypt;
And you were not to know any god except Me,
For there is no savior besides Me. - Do you not know that you are a temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?
- No one is to say when he is tempted, “I am being tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, and He Himself does not tempt anyone.
- Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.
- Behold, God is my helper;
The Lord is the sustainer of my soul. - But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be discovered.
