but if we love one another,
God abides in us,
and his love is made complete in us. - But you are “a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people claimed by God as his own possession,” so that you may proclaim the praise of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

Its flames are flashes of fire,
an unending blaze. - Those who live according to the flesh can never be pleasing to God.
- While experiencing temptation, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.
- However, God has revealed these things to us through the Spirit. For the Spirit explores everything, even the depths of God.
- Hence, be imitators of God, as beloved children.
- Surely God is my helper;
the Lord is the one who sustains me. - To our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.
