Jesus answered them and said, “My doctrine is not Mine, but His who sent Me.” | Jesus answered them, “My teaching is not my own; rather, it comes from him who sent me.” |

“They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts, “On the day that I make them My jewels. And I will spare them As a man spares his own son who serves him.” | They shall be mine, says the Lord of hosts, my own special possession on the day when I act, and I will have compassion on them as a father has compassion on the son who serves him. |
My son, if your heart is wise, My heart will rejoice—indeed, I myself. | My son, if your heart is wise, then my heart will be glad. |
For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, so that you may be established— that is, that I may be encouraged together with you by the mutual faith both of you and me. | For I am longing to see you so that I may bestow on you some spiritual gift to strengthen you— or, rather, so that we may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith, both yours and mine. |
I have made a covenant with my eyes; Why then should I look upon a young woman? | I have made a covenant with my eyes not to look with desire upon a virgin. |
Behold, God is my helper; The Lord is with those who uphold my life. | Surely God is my helper; the Lord is the one who sustains me. |

Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; Put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes. Cease to do evil. | Wash yourselves and become clean; remove your evil deeds far from my sight. Cease to do evil. |
I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye. | I will instruct you and guide you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and keep my eyes upon you. |
My times are in Your hand; Deliver me from the hand of my enemies, And from those who persecute me. | My life is in your hands; deliver me from the power of my enemies, from the clutches of those who pursue me. |
My flesh and my heart fail; But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. | Even should my heart and my flesh fail, God is the rock of my heart and my portion forever. |
The Lord God is my strength; He will make my feet like deer’s feet, And He will make me walk on my high hills. | The Lord God is my strength; he makes my feet as swift as those of a deer and enables me to tread on the heights. |

‘Return, backsliding Israel,’ says the Lord; ‘I will not cause My anger to fall on you. For I am merciful,’ says the Lord; ‘I will not remain angry forever.’ | Return, rebel Israel, says the Lord. I will not look upon you in anger. For I am merciful, says the Lord; my wrath will not continue forever. |
He who overcomes shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot out his name from the Book of Life; but I will confess his name before My Father and before His angels. | Anyone who is victorious will be dressed like these in white robes, and I shall not blot his name from the book of life. Rather, I shall acknowledge it in the presence of my Father and his angels. |
I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. | I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinegrower. He removes every branch that does not bear fruit, and every branch that does he prunes to make it bear even more. |
