Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vanity, but humbly regard others as better than yourselves.Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility consider one another as more important than yourselves.
Jesus replied, “Blessed, rather, are those who hear the word of God and obey it!”But He said, “On the contrary, blessed are those who hear the word of God and follow it.”
Reflect on the Lord and his strength; seek his face continually.Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face continually.
But he answered me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.” Hence, I will boast most gladly of my weaknesses, in order that the power of Christ may dwell within me.And He has said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.
Seek the Lord and his strength, seek his face continually.Seek the Lord and His strength; Seek His face continually.
A thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I have come that they may have life, and have it in abundance. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly.
Therefore, let us cease passing judgment on one another, but rather judge never to put a stumbling block or hindrance in the way of a brother. Therefore let’s not judge one another anymore, but rather determine this: not to put an obstacle or a stumbling block in a brother’s or sister’s way.
Jesus answered, “Amen, I say to you, there is no one who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands for my sake and for the sake of the gospel who will not receive in this age a hundred times more houses, brothers and sisters, mothers and children, and lands—as well as persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.”Jesus said, “Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, but that he will receive a hundred times as much now in the present age, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and farms, along with persecutions; and in the age to come, eternal life.”
But I have had help from God to this very day, and I stand here and testify to both the lowly and the great. I assert nothing more than what the Prophets and Moses said would occur: that the Christ must suffer, and that, by being the first to rise from the dead, he would proclaim light to the people and to the Gentiles. So, having obtained help from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, stating nothing but what the Prophets and Moses said was going to take place, as to whether the Christ was to suffer, and whether, as first from the resurrection of the dead, He would proclaim light both to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles.
If your right eye causes you to sin, tear it out and throw it away. It is preferable for you to lose one part of your body than to have your whole body thrown into Gehenna. Now if your right eye is causing you to sin, tear it out and throw it away from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
For just as we share abundantly in the sufferings of Christ, so too, through Christ, do we receive our consolation. For just as the sufferings of Christ are ours in abundance, so also our comfort is abundant through Christ.
You will show me the path to life; you will fill me with joy in your presence and everlasting delights at your right hand. You will make known to me the way of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever.
Rather, professing truth and love, we will in all things grow into him who is the head, Christ. But speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, that is, Christ.
For the carved images of the nations are powerless; they are nothing more than wood cut from a forest, fashioned with a knife by craftsmen and embellished with silver and gold. Then they are fastened with hammers and nails to prevent them from toppling. Like scarecrows in a cucumber field they are unable to speak, and they must be carried from place to place since they cannot walk. Do not be afraid of them, for they can do no harm, nor do they have any power to do good. For the customs of the peoples are futile; For it is wood cut from the forest, The work of the hands of a craftsman with a cutting tool. They decorate the idol with silver and gold; They fasten it with nails and hammers So that it will not totter. They are like a scarecrow in a cucumber field, And they cannot speak; They must be carried, Because they cannot walk! Do not fear them, For they can do no harm, Nor can they do any good.
When riches increase, so do those who are eager to accumulate them, and those who have accumulated them must remain content simply to feast their eyes on them. When good things increase, those who consume them increase. So what is the advantage to their owners except to look at them?
The Lord will protect you against all evil; he will watch over your life. The Lord will watch over your coming and your going both now and forevermore. The Lord will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul. The Lord will guard your going out and your coming in From this time and forever.
Whom do I have in heaven except you? And besides you there is nothing else I desire on earth.Whom do I have in heaven but You? And with You, I desire nothing on earth.
He replied, “Have you not read that from the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female’ and said: ‘That is why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two become one flesh’? And so they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.”And He answered and said, “Have you not read that He who created them from the beginning made them male and female, and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, no person is to separate.”
What then shall we say? Should we persist in sin in order that grace may abound? Of course not! We have died to sin. How can we live in it any longer? What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? Far from it! How shall we who died to sin still live in it?
Then, after completing their fasting and prayer, they laid their hands on them and sent them off. Then, when they had fasted, prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
And as we gaze upon the glory of the Lord with unveiled faces, all of us are being transformed into that same image from glory to glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit. But we all, with unveiled faces, looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit.
As a result, you are no longer strangers and foreigners. Rather, you are fellow citizens of the saints and members of the household of God, built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the cornerstone. So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are of God’s household, having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone.
Bring the tithes in full into the treasury so that there may be food in my house. Put me thus to the test, says the Lord of hosts, and see if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down blessings upon you without measure.“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and put Me to the test now in this,” says the Lord of armies, “if I do not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.”
What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and forfeits his very life? Or what can he give in exchange for his life? For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul?
Amen, amen, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.Truly, truly I say to you, a slave is not greater than his master, nor is one who is sent greater than the one who sent him.

In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?In My Father’s house are many rooms; if that were not so, I would have told you, because I am going there to prepare a place for you.
