- For the Lord gives wisdom;
From His mouth come knowledge and understanding. - My mouth is filled with Your praise
And with Your glory all day long. - A fool’s lips bring strife,
And his mouth invites beatings. - From the same mouth come both blessing and cursing. My brothers and sisters, these things should not be this way.
- The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable,
But the mouth of the wicked, what is perverted. - By the word of the Lord the heavens were made,
And by the breath of His mouth all their lights. - I cried to Him with my mouth,
And He was exalted with my tongue. - May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
Be acceptable in Your sight,
Lord, my rock and my Redeemer. - Rid yourself of a deceitful mouth
And keep devious speech far from you. - But He answered and said, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes out of the mouth of God.’ ”
- Blessings are on the head of the righteous,
But the mouth of the wicked conceals violence. - I have not failed the command of His lips;
I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my necessary food. - For with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.
- One who guards his mouth protects his life;
One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin. - I will bless the Lord at all times;
His praise shall continually be in my mouth. - Acquire wisdom! Acquire understanding!
Do not forget nor turn away from the words of my mouth. - Words from the mouth of a wise person are gracious, while the lips of a fool consume him.
- Open your mouth, judge righteously,
And defend the rights of the poor and needy. - Open your mouth for the people who cannot speak,
For the rights of all the unfortunate. - With his mouth the godless person destroys his neighbor,
But through knowledge the righteous will be rescued. - So will My word be which goes out of My mouth;
It will not return to Me empty,
Without accomplishing what I desire,
And without succeeding in the purpose for which I sent it. - I did not eat any tasty food, nor did meat or wine enter my mouth, nor did I use any ointment at all until the entire three weeks were completed.
- That if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
- The good person out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth what is good; and the evil person out of the evil treasure brings forth what is evil; for his mouth speaks from that which fills his heart.
- And He humbled you and let you go hungry, and fed you with the manna which you did not know, nor did your fathers know, in order to make you understand that man shall not live on bread alone, but man shall live on everything that comes out of the mouth of the Lord.
The fear of the Lord is to hate evil;
Pride, arrogance, the evil way,
And the perverted mouth, I hate.Pursue peace with all people, and the holiness without which no one will see the Lord.
