- My mouth is filled with your praises
as I relate your glory all day long. - For the Lord himself is the one who bestows wisdom;
from his mouth come forth knowledge and understanding. - Out of the same mouth flow blessings and curses. This should not be so, my brethren.
- The lips of a fool cause strife,
and his mouth provokes a flogging. - The lips of the righteous utter words of kindness,
but the mouth of the wicked knows only how to pervert. - The heavens were made by the word of the Lord,
and all their host by the breath of his mouth. - Let the words of my mouth and the thoughts of my heart
find favor in your sight,
O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer. - Turn away from the mouth that deceives
and keep your distance from lips that mislead. - Jesus answered, “As it is written:
‘Man does not live by bread alone,
but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of God.’ ” - For one believes in the heart and so is justified, and one confesses with the mouth and so is saved.
- I have not strayed from the commandments of his lips;
I have treasured in my heart the words of his mouth. - He who guards his mouth makes his life secure,
but one who talks excessively ensures his own downfall. - With his mouth the godless man seeks to ruin his neighbor,
but knowledge enables the righteous to be delivered. - So shall my word be
that issues forth from my mouth.
It will not return to me unfulfilled,
but it will accomplish my purpose
and achieve what I sent it forth to do. - I lifted up my voice in prayer to him;
his praise was on my tongue. - Blessings are showered on the head of the righteous,
but sorrow will cover the face of the wicked. - A good man produces good from the store of goodness in his heart, whereas an evil man produces evil from the store of evil within him. For the mouth speaks from the abundance of the heart.
- I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise will be continually on my lips. - Acquire wisdom and gain understanding;
never forget or turn aside from my words. - He brought you low, allowing you to suffer from hunger. He then fed you with manna, something with which your fathers were not familiar, so that you might come to know that man does not live by bread alone, but man lives by every word that comes forth from the mouth of the Lord.
- The words of a wise man win favor,
but a fool’s tongue is his undoing. - Do not let this book of the law be absent from your mouth; meditate upon it day and night, so that you might carefully observe everything that is written in it. Then you will prosper and be successful.
- Speak out and pronounce righteous judgments;
defend the rights of the wretched and the poor. - Speak out for those who cannot speak for themselves,
and defend the rights of the destitute. - I refrained from eating any choice food, abstaining from consuming meat or wine, and I did not anoint myself until those three weeks had passed.
If you confess with your lips, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.He alone is my rock and my salvation,
my fortress, so that I stand unshaken. Even though I wander
through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil,
for you are at my side,
with your rod and your staff
that comfort me.Next verse!With image
