- O Lord, all my longing is known to you;
my sighing is not hidden from you. - Then I acknowledged my sin to you,
and I did not hide my iniquity;
I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,”
and you forgave the guilt of my sin. Selah - The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid? - If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love.
- But surely, God is my helper;
the Lord is the upholder of my life. - “The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.” - And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, the Beloved, with whom I am well pleased.”
- But you, O Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, and the one who lifts up my head. - My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit and become my disciples.
- For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
nor are your ways my ways, says the Lord. - Though the fig tree does not blossom,
and no fruit is on the vines;
though the produce of the olive fails
and the fields yield no food;
though the flock is cut off from the fold
and there is no herd in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the Lord;
I will exult in the God of my salvation. - You are indeed my rock and my fortress;
for your name's sake lead me and guide me. - I lift up my eyes to the hills—
from where will my help come?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth. - I cried aloud to him,
and he was extolled with my tongue. - Hear, my child, and accept my words,
that the years of your life may be many. - Why are you cast down, O my soul,
and why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God; for I shall again praise him,
my help and my God. - I stretch out my hands to you;
my soul thirsts for you like a parched land. Selah - If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
- O God, you are my God, I seek you,
my soul thirsts for you;
my flesh faints for you,
as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. - My times are in your hand;
deliver me from the hand of my enemies and persecutors. - But as for me, I will look to the Lord,
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me. - Hear my prayer, O Lord;
give ear to my supplications in your faithfulness;
answer me in your righteousness. - God, the Lord, is my strength;
he makes my feet like the feet of a deer,
and makes me tread upon the heights. - My child, be attentive to my words;
incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not let them escape from your sight;
keep them within your heart. - My child, do not forget my teaching,
but let your heart keep my commandments;
for length of days and years of life
and abundant welfare they will give you.
Because your steadfast love is better than life,
my lips will praise you.
So I will bless you as long as I live;
I will lift up my hands and call on your name.Do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father, and he will at once send me more than twelve legions of angels? For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,
‘I have set you to be a light for the Gentiles,
so that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’Next verse!With image
